In the fall of 2001, my good
friend Anthony Mestas and I had the opportunity to paint
some life size dinosaur sculptures for CM Studio. We worked
together for almost 3 years when Anthony accepted a position
with Sideshow Collectables. I carried on for another 2
years including a couple months with Dan Colonna and Saul
Alvarez. The photos shown are only a small sample of the
work accomplished which include four museum collections
consisting of around 40 1/1 scale dinosaurs and as many head
mounts, displays for the Tucson Fossil, Gem, and Mineral
show, Society of Vertebrate Paleontology in Bosman, Montana
and Denver Colorado, Dinosaur World Tour show in Denver, as
well as museum displays at Cornell University, Dominican
Republic, Field Museum in Chicago, and an article in
Newsweek magazine. The first group of photos are Anthony
and I, the second are of those I painted myself. I'll have
more photos soon. Though I no longer work with CM Studio, I
hope to have pictures within a few months of some new
projects on the horizon.
