Hello and welcome to Steve Riojas' web site.  What you see here is the culmination of years of modeling excellence.  Mr. Riojas is a 51 year old American born and raised in Denver, Colorado, he currently still resides there with his beautiful wife of 16 years, Lori and their three kids, Crystal, Jennifer, and Rachel. 

          Steve grew up in the sixties and like many other kids of that era developed a love for car and figure modeling thanks in part to Monogram's Ed Roth creations and Aurora's monster kits.  With the advent of Garage Kits, Steve eventually rediscovered his modeling roots and set about building and collecting once again with a greater appreciation for the hobby.  Ultimately he began to enter competitions and started to gain recognition for his outstanding modeling skills. Among his awards are numerous medals and Gold honors won at prestigious modeling shows such as "Wonderfest", held annually in Louisville, KY and IPMS competitions.  His crowning victory came in Las Vegas, NV, at the 2001 Imagination Expo Show.  There he competed with top figure modelers from across the nation in the elite professional category and walked away with top honors and a $1000 cash prize!

 
   
 
        Steve's modeling skills have also been widely showcased in Amazing Figure Modeler Magazine.  Starting in 2000, he has routinely demonstrated innovated how-to articles to eager modelers interested in learning his award winning style.
 
        He has also been instrumental in helping numerous companies showcase their products by painting their master display pieces which in turn are featured in promotional ad, catalogs and web sites.  His client list includes Amoktime, Earthbound Studios, X-O Facto, Bradford Exchange, and Sideshow Collectable's, to name a but a few of many operations who've benefited from his extraordinary finishing skills.
 
        Another claim to fame Mr. Riojas has to his credit is his unparalleled accomplishments in painting life size dinosaur displays.  For over 5 years he was the painting technician for CM Studio.  During that time he handled all aspects of designing and painting eye popping skin patterns onto over 200 life like dinosaur sculptures that ranged from 4 feet to 40 feet long!
